This is my Permanent Post.

I created this blog to create more awareness of The Multiple Sclerosis Resource Centre, who I am the Webmaster for. To find out what we do for people with MS please go to our website - msrc.co.uk [msrc.co.uk]

To raise money for the MSRC I created "Squiffy's House Of Fun - Laughter For Multiple Sclerosis - shof.msrcsites.co.uk [shof.msrcsites.co.uk] - the concept behind the site is very simple. People go to the site, read the jokes etc, if they enjoyed it they can make a small (or large!:O) donation towards the work of the MSRC at Squiffy's - Laugh for the MSRC - justgiving.com/laughforMS [justgiving.com/laughforMS] .

If everyone reading this blog, or visiting the sites, donated just £5 ($10) to the MSRC we could reach many more people affected by MS. So, think about it, for the price of a couple pints of beer (which you don't really need, do you?) you could change the life of someone with MS more than you could imagine.

Please pass on the MSRC website address to anyone you know affected by MS anywhere in the world and help make a difference.

SU now has a MS Discussion Group, why not pop in and say Hi? - multiple-sclerosis.group.stumbleupon.com [multiple-sclerosis.group.stumbleupon.com]

Thanks guys and gals.

Cre8Buzz Reaches Out To Users During Revamp

As many of you know, I covered Cre8Buzz a while back here on the site when it was just starting out. I tend to think of Cre8Buzz as the little social content network that could. I have a unique behind the scenes perspective of the company, and the people behind it work hard for its success.

That said, in spite of all their hard work, those of us who are on Cre8Buzz as users or on the board have watched them struggle. They have had developer problems, issues rolling out new features, trouble prioritizing certain fixes and more. Interestingly, they haven't let the problems dissuade them from trying to make Cre8Buzz a success.

In my opinion the best part of Cre8Buzz are the users. The community over all is incredibly involved, very welcoming of new members and supportive of the content new members provide. After all, Cre8Buzz is a social content site more than anything, existing to give its users a place to show off the creative things they make and do and connect while they do it - it is all about supporting each other.

Why write about Cre8Buzz again, many months later, when many would say it is limping along and destined to fail? Because of the company's approach to fixing the problems. The people behind Cre8Buzz have decided to elicit the help of their members and use social media to get the word out about their problems. They are doing the rare thing in this Web 2.0 world: asking for help.....................

R.I.P Bozo

Larry Harmon, the man who delighted millions of kids as Bozo the Clown for more than five decades, has died. He was 83.

Longtime publicist Jerry Digney announced Harmon passed away from congestive heart failure on Thursday at his home in Los Angeles.

While not the original Bozo, Harmon honed the clown's trademark look, adding the orange clumps of hair, the big red nose and that crazy red, white and blue costume.

He was also responsible for making the clown a household name after he and a group of investors bought the licensing rights to the character from Capitol Records in the early '50s.

Harmon & Co. licensed Bozo to local TV stations in nearly every major U.S. station and farmed him out globally to such far-flung countries as Thailand and Brazil.

Those stations in turn hired various actors to portray Bozo, including Bob Bell for WGN-TV Chicago and perhaps most famously Willard Scott, who donned the makeup before becoming the longtime weatherman for NBC's The Today Show.

"We didn't have satellite, syndication and networking like today," Harmon once told Reuters in an interview. "So, I created my own network of local clowns and productions, a cross-country operation that kept me on the road for 50 weeks a year for decades."

Aside from making countless personal appearances as the character throughout the years, Harmon trained over 200 Bozos, marketed a variety of Bozo merchandise and even helped hatch a cartoon.

Bozo became so ubiquitous in pop culture that the name ended up coming to define zany, foolish behavior. He and his TV show also served as an early inspiration for Krusty the Clown's hijinks on The Simpsons.

Harmon is survived by his wife of 29 years, Susan Harmon, son Jeff Harmon and daughters Lori Harmon, Marci Breth-Carabet, Ellen Kosberg and Leslie Breth.

Bozo the Clown rest in peace.

Update on Copaxone FORTE Trial in Multiple Sclerosis
Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. announced top-line results from a Phase III study designed to assess the efficacy, safety and tolerability of glatiramer acetate (GA) 40mg as compared to the approved COPAXONE® 20mg in the treatment of relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis (RRMS).

The 40mg dose did not demonstrate increased efficacy in reducing the relapse rate; however, the higher dose maintained the favourable safety and tolerability profile of COPAXONE® 20mg.............
